The Special High-voltage construction program has made great progress. The State Corporation has declared that China's own R & D, designation and construction of the exchange of millions of V Power Transmission Project - Jindongnan - Nanyang - Jingmen UHV formal completion of the pilot demonstration project has been put into operation.
This UHV AC power transmission project owns the highest operating voltage, the maximum transmission capacity and the most advanced technical level in the world.
China's first UHV AC pilot demonstration project started at the end of 2006.This project is to the north of Jindongnan substation in Shanxi Province, going through the switching station in Nanyang, Henan Province, to the south of Jingmen substation in Hubei Province. The distance is about 640 kilometers, and the transformer capacity is about 2 脳 300 million KVA, connecting North China and Central China Power Grid, passing through Shanxi, Henan and Hubei provinces.After the project being put into operation, it will make full use of the abundant coal in Shanxi, Hubei hydropower resources, promoting the inter-regional economic development of the North-South mutual economic co-ordination, which will effectively ease the difficult issue of domestic electricity transport.
China will start to construct three major projects UHV AC this year.
According to the plan, in addition to the exchange of three UHV projects, National Grid will begin two UHVDC projects including Xiangjiaba - Shanghai, Jinping - Sunan this year.
銆 UHV Refers to voltage of the exchange of 1000 kV and 卤 800 kV DC. As a result of investment and other reasons, China's special high-voltage power grid construction was concerned. Prior to this, China's first UHV AC pilot demonstration project ( The Jindongnan - Nanyang - Jingmen project for more than two years ) has been put into operation on January 6th , which means that China has mastered the core technology of remote-distance, high-capacity and low loss UHV transmission.
銆 According to the related plan of the State Grid Corporation, it is expected this year and next year that the special high-voltage power grid investment can reach about 83 billion RMB, of which 57 billion RMB is exchange UHV, Ultra High Voltage DC is 26 billion RMB. The "two longitudinal two horizontal " special high-voltage backbone grid will be completed in the early period of "The Twelfth Five Years"
The data from State Grid Corporation also shows that the main business indicators of National Grid continue to grow rapidly in 2008 , in which revenues reached 1.1556 trillion RMB. However, the profit is only 9.66 billion RMB because of the factors of the natural disasters and price adjustment, which declines nearly 80 percent.
